Building social media pages and links to your new website should be your main focus. Not only do they send new visitors directly to you, but they are also the main indicators that search engines like Google use to rank websites (SEO). And free Google traffic is the best kind of traffic.

Here are the best ways to get instant traffic to your new website.

    1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Google is the largest traffic driver for websites. So you really need to understand how to rank your content high in search results for your target phrases.

SEO is a whole industry unto itself. The most important thing to focus on after creating a new website is creating quality content that will answer searchers’ questions or needs as quickly as possible.

See which articles are in the top spots rank your topic and unzip as they are better than the ones below. The page title, headings, structure, and even the URL are all very important. The amount of authoritative links to articles from other websites also matters a lot.

Use the tools on Semrush to guide you through the SEO process for your own website. Semrush suggests content ideas, reviews your content, tracks your live rankings, and shares competitive insights. It’s totally free for 30 days via this link.

    2. Post on Twitter with hashtags

Twitter is a great marketing tool for website owners. One of the best ways to get people to notice your content is to use hashtags that are relevant to your audience.

You can use a handy free tool like Hashtagify to search for hashtags to use , and view popular related hashtags.

From these results you can find popular hashtags to add to your tweets – just be careful not to over-tag. Two to three is best to avoid looking like spam.

If you don’t have time for Twitter, consider using TweetDeck to plan your social media content for the week ahead and to plan.

    3. Share links in Facebook groups

There is probably at least one active Facebook group related to your topic (use the search box on Facebook). And since they’re already focused on a niche, they’re a powerful way to quickly build a loyal audience and traffic.

Many groups offer ways to share your content with others, e.g. B. by posting links on certain days. When sharing your content, it’s important to be authentic by engaging with other members and never just spamming.

Feel free to add your website to my Facebook group “Start a website ” to share.

A Pinterest group board is a board with multiple contributors. It usually has a small two-person icon in the lower-right corner. Group boards tend to have more followers than regular boards, which means more people will re-pin your content and visit your site.

To find group boards in your niche, take a look at PinGroupie. This free tool shows how many subscribers and re-pins a board has. Usually, when you want to join a group board, you need to email the Pinterest account owner to get an invitation to pin it on that board.

    5. Comment on popular blogs in your niche

Launch your website today

I launched my first website way back in 2002, it wasn’t pretty but honestly it was the best decision I’ve ever made. It ultimately led to me founding STS in 2007 and launching my career (read more about my journey).

Every week I meet more and more bloggers giving up their 9-5 job and make a living from blogging.

Of course it doesn’t happen overnight, but you have to start and take the first step.

That’s why I wrote this guide on how to create a website and luckily it’s MUCH easier to get a website live these days. You don’t need to know anything about coding or servers thanks to Bluehost and WordPress – as my own grandma proved.

If you haven’t created your Bluehost account yet, take advantage of the limited discount and free domain name.
