I decided to create a quiz called “What is your creative strength?” I thought my audience would enjoy this quiz and their results would also help me target future content on their creative strengths and problems.

2. Define your results. What are the possible results of your quiz? I chose 5 different outcomes. Each question in my quiz relates to one of these 5 potential creative strengths.

3. Choose and customize a quiz template. Interact offers a variety of pre-made templates that you can customize to suit your needs. Personally, I’ve opted to “start from scratch”… but the interface is still incredibly simple, even without a template. I’ve added my brand fonts and colors to give it a custom feel.

4 . Create your questions. I chose to create my questions directly in the Interact Builder. I wanted to learn more about how creative entrepreneurs perceive the world and how they approach problems, so I did a little brainstorming to think about how each of my 6 “creative strengths” would respond to different situations. For example: “I do my best work when…”

You can assign each answer to correlate with a result. Most of my questions had a 1:1 ratio: each answer had a specific creative strength in mind. However, Interact also allows quiz answers to correlate to more than one result (which came in handy for some questions!)

With Interact also allows you to present images or custom graphics. An additional visual component helps engage your audience and adds a fun, personalized touch to your quiz.

I chose a straightforward personality test for this quiz… but Interact delivers also branching logic. I can only imagine the possibilities! The branching logic allows you to get very specific with your audience.

My website quiz was 10 questions long. This is probably a little longer, but I felt it was necessary to get a real feel for these results. You could easily create a website quiz with five questions or fewer that would make it easy for your audience to engage with just a few clicks.

5. show results. I’ve chosen to make my quiz results instantly visible: viewers have the option to add their email address (so I can send them more tips on creativity and creative entrepreneurship!), but they don’t have to… “Skip this step” is an easy option.

Once submitted, viewers will be redirected to individual website pages I’ve created for each creative strength. This allows me to better customize the experience with tailored content on my site – personalized for your creative power.

How can I now that I have results from my audience did they put it to good use? First, I offer quiz takers an incentive to sign up for my email list if they want to receive more content. Now I can continue to build our relationship and like-know trust factor through direct email messages that address their needs.

Interact makes it easy to share your favorite email Mail marketing system (for me that’s Flodesk!). You can even break answers into separate lists. A “creativity” tag is assigned to my quiz takers so that I can send them more details on this topic. Click here for instructions on how to create opt-ins.

Finally, you can use Interact analytics to display quiz results to track: how long the quiz runs? What are the most popular results? I’m just starting to see the quiz results summary, but I know this will be a helpful tool for learning more about my audience – and which quizzes are doing the best.
