Although YouTube Stories may not be as well known as Instagram Stories, have you tried them? YouTube is very different from Instagram and requires a different strategy.

The YouTube story feature is now gradually rolling out to all qualifying YouTube channels with more than 10,000 followers. More YouTube channel creators and owners can now use YouTube Stories to communicate with their audience on a more casual level by sharing quick videos and photos throughout the day.
You’ll learn how to create stories create and share on YouTube in this tutorial.
Let’s get started
- Step 1 − Sign in with your email address and your password on your mobile device to your YouTube account. Once this is done, you will find the + icon at the bottom of the taskbar and in the middle. (As shown below). Tap the + icon.
Step 2 − A separate window will open in which you will find various options. Click Add to Your Story (as shown below). 
Step 3 − When you click Add to your story you will be presented with an empty camera. You can record a video or take a selfie, or you can upload any photo or video to the gallery and rotate the camera – front or back. 
Step 4 − Here I am uploading one of my videos to the gallery and the screen looks like this as shown below and on the left side you have different options to edit the videos. 
Step 5 − Click the Filter button at the top and you will be shown below with different filter types. Choose one of the filters to make your videos more visually appealing. 
Step 6 − You can write any text in the uploaded or recorded video or photo by clicking the Text button. 
Step 7 − You can add colors or draw something on the video by clicking the Draw button. 
Step 8 − You can even promote your YouTube videos in Stories. To do this, just click on the stickers (as shown below). 
Step 9 − A separate window will open. Here you will find the Recents, Stickers and Emoji tabs. Tap on the Stickers section and in the Stickers section you will find the VIDEO button. 
Step 10 − Click on the VIDEO button and in the UPLOAD section find your YouTube videos and select one of the videos you want want to upload to YouTube Stories (as shown below). 
Step 11 − Click on the selected video and the video will be added to the story (as shown below). Remember, if you recently shared your own YouTube video, you can’t share it for 7 days, but you can share videos from another channel. 
Step 12 − You can increase the volume in the video by clicking the Volume button. 
Step 13 − You can even edit or crop (remove extra parts) the video by clicking the Crop button. 
Step 14 − After making all necessary changes in the video, click the NEXT button. 
Step 15 − When you click the NEXT button, a pop-up window will open ( as shown below). Click the POST button and the story will be posted to your YouTube timeline.
