Step One – Read

WordPress is a great product. It’s easy to use, powerful and flexible. Building a website and maintaining a website is both a science and an art that has evolved rapidly. To fully appreciate this, it is important to study the subject well. One important thing to keep in mind is your time investment. Knowing it well will no doubt save you a lot of time in the long run. So, before you invest your valuable time and energy into installing WordPress, there are a few documents you should read to help you get started.

Step Two – Make a Plan

Based on the information you just read , including instructions on how to install WordPress, you should have a list of things you need and what to do. If not, make that list now. You should ensure that the following information is included:

Environmental requirements
Your website username and password
Text editor software
An FTP client software
Your favorite web browser

It is important to plan how you want to use WordPress on your website. Here are some questions to ask yourself.

Step Four – Set Up WordPress

Once the installation is complete, it’s time to set up WordPress so that it works the way you want it to work.
