How to save a webpage as a PDF
Everyone comes across a web page at some point that they need to save to research offline or share with others. You could just copy and paste the link, but sometimes it’s nice to have the page as an image that you can view offline, markup, or print. The most flexible solution is to create a PDF file that you can view or send anywhere.

Note: These instructions are for the latest browser version time of publication. Older versions may have slightly different methods, but should be broadly similar.
Desktop browsers
For most browsers, the fastest and most effective way to convert a webpage to PDF is to print save on computer. We know that choosing Save Page As… would be the logical choice, but this option is for saving pages in a web format rather than as a standalone file like a PDF. The print option is the tool you need.
Chrome
To save a web page as a PDF using Chrome, do the following:
Step 1: Click on the three dots icon in the top right corner and select Print… from the drop down menu. Alternatively, press Ctrl + P (Command + P on a Mac).
Step 2: In the resulting pop-up window, click the down arrow to the right of Destination and Choose in Save as PDF drop-down menu. A preview is generated in the left pane as shown below.
Step 3: Click More Settings to view Options to change paper size, scaling, etc. if needed.
Step 4: After making the necessary changes, click the Save button and choose a destination on your PC.
Step 5: Finally, click a second “Save” button.
Microsoft Edge
This method applies to the newer Chromium-based browsers . Although a previous version of Edge exists, it is no longer supported. The screenshot below shows Chromium Edge.
Step 1: Click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner and select Print from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can also press Ctrl + P.
Step 2: In the following pop-up window, click the down arrow that appears under Printer and select the one in the drop- Save as PDF option listed from down menu as shown above.
Step 3: Under Layout and Pages, you can select the orientation and page range in which you want to save the webpage. You can also click More settings to view and customize other options such as paper size and scaling.
Step 4: After making the necessary changes, click the Save button and select a destination on your PC.
Step 5: Click a second “Save” button to finish.
Safari
There are actually two ways to save a web page as a PDF file in Safari:
Step 1: With Safari active, click on the menu bar File and select Export as PDF… from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: In the following pop-up window, enter a file name , select a target and click on the Save button. That’s it!

Step 1: With Safari active, click File on the menu bar and select the Print… option from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, press Command + P to open the Printers window.
Step 2: In the following pop-up window, click the down arrow in the lower-left corner as shown above. Select Save as PDF from the resulting drop-down menu.
Step 3: Another pop-up window will appear. Here you can enter a filename, title, subject, author, keyboards, and you can also set security options.
Step 4: When you’re done, select on Target and click the Save button.

Firefox
Of the four popular desktop browsers, Firefox is the only one that doesn’t have a built-in PDF printer. Instead, it relies on the Microsoft Print to PDF feature in Windows 10.
Step 1: Click the three horizontal lines icon in the top right and select Print… from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: In the window that opens, click the Print button at the top left. As a faster alternative, you can just type Ctrl + P to open the print menu.
Step 3: Choose Microsoft Print to PDF from the printer options and then click the button Ready to print.
Step 4: Choose a name and save location, then click the Save button.
Firefox for Mac
The process is similar for Firefox for Mac but without Microsoft Print to PDF. To print a PDF using Firefox on Mac:
Step 1: With Firefox open, select the three horizontal lines icon, then scroll down to Print . Alternatively, press Command+P.
Step 2: In the Print dialog box, scroll down to the lower left corner and select PDF from the drop-down menu . p>
Step 3: Choose Print, then in the Save dialog box, give your PDF a name and choose a location.
Step 4: Alternatively, extensions can give Firefox the ability to save as PDF. PDF Mage is a popular and popular option.

There are many online extensions and web-based tools that specialize in converting HTML to PDF, with many options on how the PDF looks and where it goes. These options are especially useful for developers and companies who need to convert multiple pages at once.
Paperplane
Paperplane is a developer-friendly conversion tool with a variety of options. For fast users, you can just paste a link and choose a page size and orientation to quickly create a PDF. Businesses may want to pay for a package that includes more options for comprehensive PDF management (free trials available). Developers can also set up an API key with a paperplane code to embed the tool where they need it!
PDFShift

NovaPDF

Adobe Acrobat
If you subscribe to Adobe services (or are willing to start a free trial), there is an additional option . Adobe offers you the option of installing a PDF toolbar in your browser. This creates a simple convert to PDF button that enables super-fast conversions on the fly. The toolbar works with Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox and might be more useful if you regularly use Adobe tools.

How to convert a web page to a PDF browser with mobile devices :
Safari for iOS/iPadOS
There are two ways to create a PDF with Safari on iPhone and iPad. The first method uses the screenshot tool:
Step 1: Open a web page in Safari and take a screenshot. This method depends on your device.

Step 2: On the following screen, tap on the “Full Page” tab and do all the highlights you want to insert. Tap Done when finished.
Step 3: In the pop-up that appears, tap Save PDF to Files.
Step 4: Select a destination on your device and tap Save to finish.
Option 2 Safari for iOS/iPadOS
The second method uses the share tool:
Step 1: Open the webpage in Safari and tap the “Share” button.
Step 2: On the drop-down (iPad) or pop-up (iPhone) share sheet, select the options listed under the title of the webpage, as shown above.
Step 3: Select PDF from list below and then tap Back (iPad) or Done (iPhone)
Step 4: type Click Save to Files on the share sheet.
Step 5: Choose a destination, then tap Save.
Chrome for Android
Follow these steps to save a webpage in PDF format using Chrome for Android and iOS:
Step 1 : Open the webpage you want in the Chrome app, tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner, and tap “Share” from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: A gray pop-up menu will appear at the bottom of the screen. Select Print from this menu.
Step 3: Tap the down arrow in the top right corner of the screen and select Save as PDF from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Tap the down arrow under Paper size and choose your document options (size, color, pages), if needed.
Step 5: Once you’re ready to save your PDF, tap the blue PDF circle icon on the right side of the screen.
Step 6: Give your file a name by scrolling to the bottom of the following screen and then click Save. You also have the option to save your location by simply pressing the three horizontal lines (you’ll see them on the top left of your screen). You can choose from a variety of options, including the Downloads folder, anywhere else in your device’s storage, or in your Google Drive.
Chrome for iOS
You can save it too PDFs directly from Chrome if using an iOS device; however, the instructions are slightly different.
Step 1: Tap on the share icon (you can find it in the top right corner of your screen) and scroll down a little to You will see the Print option. Select it.
Step 2: On the print menu, pinch with both fingers to zoom in and get a closer view. This will automatically convert the page to a full-screen PDF for you to view.
Step 3: Select the share icon at the top right of the screen again and select Then save to files. You can then type whatever name you want to give your file and that’s it – you now have a PDF of your web page. Remember, you can also implement this process in Firefox for iOS.
